Inside the Festival

This tree won second prize in the designer competition at the Festival of Trees.  It is a tribute to Picasso.  Extremely colourful, one could not mistake this creative display for anything but Picasso!

This is a "stylized dove" and was designed as a tribute to Paloma, the youngest daughter of Picasso, a jewellry designer for Tiffany & Co.  Paloma literally means "dove" thus this design. The zig zag design on the back of the dove mimics the desiger's famous signature.  At the base of this work of art are two sketches, one of Picasso, a self-portrait, and the other his wife, done by Picasso himself.

The creativity of these designers knows no bounds.  Definitely a sight worth seeing but allow yourself ample time to visit all the "pods" of displays.
