Balzac Billy's Predictions on Groundhog Day 2012

Balzac Billy emerged from his burrow this morning only to duck back in, for he saw his shadow!  Using this as an indication of what remains of our winter, we are due for six weeks more.  But here in Edmonton, winter has been mild, spring-like, for the most part.  Six more weeks of this?  Bring it on!!!

I do hope you enjoy a mild rest of the winter too.

Wiarton Willy (Ontario) predicted an early spring. If you get more winter, send it some place other than Ontario so poor old Willy can be right. :)

I agree with you Shirley - this winter couldn't be better - what a gift it's been! Looking forward to warmer weather next week but I'm still not complaining and that's something for me!

I am glad for our nice winter. We have truly been spoiled! What a contrast to last year!

On the other hand, my heart goes out to those countries overseas who are not accustomed to harsh winters and who have seen casualties as a result of a -40 C winter! I heard Japan even shut down a ski hill due to too much snow!
